Our Support of Polar Bears International
Our new seasonal scents are now available

Wild is proud to announce that it has selected Polar Bears International as its newest featured charity, inspired by our latest YouTube video featuring the handsome 7ft polar bear that goes by the name Thorvald.

When creating a YouTube video that addressed global warming and the harsh effects of single-use plastic on our climate, we felt it was fitting to include one of the species which is arguably most affected by the harsh reality of climate change. And, although we of course presented our video in a light-hearted, Wild manner, the effects of global warming on polar bears are undeniably an issue that must be addressed.

Polar bears are at risk of becoming extinct due to the rapid loss of sea ice in their native habitat and climate change. They're a vulnerable species and just 26,000 bears remain in their native habitat.

Scientists predict that if we do not take urgent action on climate change, we could lose all but a few polar bears by the end of the century.

Big, brilliant, and built for cold, polar bears are a symbol of a wild Arctic. Yet, despite their size and strength, they need our help to survive the coming decades. We need to take urgent action to reverse human-induced climate change and work to protect sea ice and the animals that rely on it for their survival.

Given these shocking facts, and the knowledge that there is something we as humans can do to help, we felt it was important to partner with a charity that addressed and actioned on the effects of climate change which is specifically affecting the polar bear species.

Polar Bears International

Polar Bears International work tirelessly to address both short and long-term threats to polar bears to ensure the survival of the species for generations to come.

We lack data about polar bears because research projects can be challenging due to their habitats being in some of the world's most remote areas. Without reliable data, it makes it tricky to implement action.

Polar Bears International facilitates otherwise difficult research projects to learn more about polar bears and with more research and understanding of the species, they help spread awareness about the pressing threat of climate change and encourage the swift transition from fossil fuels to renewable energy sources that will protect both polar bear species and our planet.

Dr Steven Amstrup at Polar Bears International stated: "If greenhouse gas emissions continue, we predict most polar bears will disappear by the end of the century. We have time to protect them; in turn benefitting the rest of life on earth, including ourselves".

We’ve committed to donating at least $15,000 to Polar Bears International, but we hope this can be more if you help us share the video with your friends and family.
